What We Do

NORDSON GREEN EARTH FOUNDATION, INC. (NGEF) is a private foundation organized in 1996 by Negrense lawyer-philanthropist Nordy P. Diploma. NGEF's core advocacy is the re-greening of Negros Island by recreating natural forest ecosystems in community tree parks and preserves, restoration and protection of forests against degradation as strategies for climate change resilience, adaptation and mitigation.

For the past 25 years, NGEF has nurtured, expanded and protected its 60-hectare Nordson Forest Park in Victorias City making it one of few highly successful private afforestation initiatives. The foundation has also taken on causes against solid waste, air and water pollution, and provided support to allied campaigners for responsible ecological stewardship to benefit future generations of Filipinos.

NGEF is set to go beyond the boundaries of Nordson Forest Park and partner with like-minded proponents in the private and government sectors to replicate its successful afforestation model while also serving as a premier source of delicately propagated, robust trees and plants in Negros Island.
